Last week I was busy with family Christmas time, so I wasn’t able to get up my normal QB + WR stack article, which ended up being unfortunate because the stack that I absolutely loved (Bortles + Robinson or Hurns or Thomas) went off and actually won me a healthy $7k payday. This week I’ll be looking at some more QB stack targets and hopefully one of them goes off once again and puts us in a great position to win some more cash in the final Millionaire Maker contest of the regular season.
I also have my week 17 Running Back targets post up, so check that out as well.
Ben Roethlisberger ($6900) + Antonio Brown ($9300) or Martavis Bryant ($5300)
I’m probably going to be making quite a few lineups with the Big Ben, Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant double stack. The passing game of the Steelers was shut down last week by the Baltimore Ravens, which I don’t think anybody saw coming. I think this is a great bounce back spot for a team that knows they have to win to have any shot at making the post season, so expect the Steelers to use Antonio Brown a ton in this game. Martavis Bryant is also drastically underpriced, and after the worst game of his two year career last week his ownership might dip this week.
This is a great stack and I would not be surprised at all if this double stack won the Milly Maker this week.
Eli Manning ($5600) + Odell Beckham Jr. ($9000)
The Eagles are absolutely awful against the pass and have given up 78 points over the past two games. I don’t expect the Eagles to suddenly learn how to play defense, so I think this is a great bounce back spot for Eli Manning now that he has his biggest weapon back from suspension. Odell Beckham will be well rested after a week off and I expect him to be ready to make a statement to end the season on a positive note. Look for Odell to absolutely tear up the Eagles defense that has not been good against WR1’s this year.
Sam Bradford ($5300) + Jordan Matthews ($4700) or Zach Ertz ($3600)
The Giants are not the best on defense themselves, which is why I think this Giants vs Eagles game could easily turn into a shootout. Sam Bradford is another very stackable QB based on his matchup. Bradford attempted 56 passes last week and I don’t think it’s out of the question for him to throw another 45+ balls this week, especially if the Giants are able to score as easily as I expect. I like stacking Bradford with Ertz the most because he’s a very reasonably priced tight end who is playing against the second worst defense vs tight ends this season. Ertz has also gone ham the past few weeks as he has become Bradford’s favourite target on this team. If you want to add another player to the stack, Jordan Matthews is always a threat for a big game. He broke 100 yards receiving in both the last two weeks and this is also a juicy matchup for him.
Brian Hoyer ($5100) + DeAndre Hopkins ($8400)
If you want to really pay down at quarterback and you can’t even fit Manning or Bradford into your budget, I like Hoyer as the best bargain basement QB. The Jaguars have given up the second most points this season, next to the Saints, and because the Jags can put up big points, I expect the Texans to have to throw the ball in this one. Hoyer is back from his concussion, which definitely helps this Texans offense. I think Hoyer has a chance at a big game this week against the Jags, and if he goes off the obvious stack will be DeAndre Hopkins who has shown he is an elite talent in this league.
I was considering Johnny Manziel as well, but it looks likely that he won’t play this week because of concussion symptoms after last weeks game. So I’ll be sticking with those 4 stacks and focusing primarily on the top 3. Good luck this week guys. Hitting that big score in the last week of the regular season would be fantastic.
