Free NHL Betting Picks November 20th

Sport Betting Canadian Hockey MascotThe Canucks and Oilers had a wild one last night.  I caught parts of the game and there was a lot of back and forth action when I was watching, so I wasn’t surprised to see the 5-4 scoreline at the end of the game.  Well, I was a little surprised the Oilers came back to make it a game because I was watching until midway through the second when the Canucks were up 3-1.

Either way, that’s a big win for me to put me back on track heading into the weekend.

NHL Season Record: 36-40 for +2.52 units.

Minnesota Wild @ Philadelphia Flyers

Minnesota Wild LogoThe Wild have a poor road record of just 3-6-0, but I still think this is one of the best teams in the league.  I’m going to continue to back the Wild, especially now that Parise is healthy because he’s a big part of that team.  Add in the fact that the Flyers played last night and weren’t able to score against the Rangers.  The Giroux ankle injury could be slowing him down, which may be a factor in that offensive struggle.

Tampa Bay Lighting @ Toronto Maple Leafs

Tampa Bay Lightning LogoThe Maple Leafs are in a huge rut right now and the media in Toronto are all over this team.  They lost 9-2 to the Predators on Tuesday, which came right on the back of a 6-2 loss to the Sabres a few nights before.  The Leafs will want to put this behind them, but they have a very strong Lightning team coming to town that is the most potent offensive team in the league.  Keeping the puck out of their own net isn’t exactly one of the Leafs strong points and I expect Stamkos and company to show the Leafs fans once again that this team needs some changes.

I thought about taking the puck line, but the odds look like many other bettors have thought the same thing, so I’m going to be sticking with the moneyline.

Arizona Coyotes @ Dallas Stars

Arizona CoyotesI’m continuing to fade the Dallas Stars with this one.  I’m really surprised that the Stars are such big favourites in this one even though they have the second worst record in the West, have given up the second most goals per game in the league (more than Buffalo) and have lost 3 straight, while only winning 2 of their last 12 games.  The Coyotes aren’t as flashy as the Stars, and definitely don’t have the big stars, but they are a great underdog pick here.

Chicago Blackhawks @ Calgary Flames

Calgary Flames LogoThe Blackhawks are playing better hockey now, but they still aren’t at the level we’ve come to expect from this team in the past.  They’re only 3-4-0 on the road this season and their recent wins haven’t been overly impressive.  The Flames somehow keep getting wins and it might just be time to consider that this team could be a playoff contender in the West.  I like the Flames at home as underdogs here.

Play: Flames 2.45 @ 5Dimes.eu

Washington Capitals @ Colorado Avalanche

Colorado Avalanche LogoThe Avs are playing a bit better lately.  They won the final two games on their road trip over the Rangers and Devils, respectively.  They’re a better team than they’ve shown this year, while I’m not sure the same can be said for the Caps.  Washington might just not be a playoff team anymore.  They did beat Arizona on Tuesday, but it took them until overtime to do so.  The Caps only have 3 goals in their last 3 games and although the Avs could be the team to play when you’re offensively challenged I still think that the Avs will win this game after having a few days to reflect on their road trip.

Play: Avalanche 1.952 @ 5Dimes.eu
