Quebec voters head to the polls on Monday, October 5th, 2026, to elect 127 members to the National Assembly, with 64 seats needed to form a majority government. The campaign officially began on August 27th when the writs were dropped, and it marks the first provincial election since François Legault stepped down as CAQ leader in January. Christine Fréchette won the CAQ leadership in April and enters the race as the incumbent Premier.
