CFL Week 6 Betting Odds and Free Picks

Sports Betting Canadian Mascot FootballIn week 5 I once again went 2-2 to basically break even, but I will be trying to improve upon that this week with another 4 CFL games on tap.

Below I will be including the spread, money line and over/under odds for each game and then give my favourite pick for that game.  All of the odds below are taken from Bet365 our top rated online betting site for wagering on the CFL this season.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Hamilton Tiger Cats

Winnipeg Blue BombersSpread

  • Winnipeg +3.5
  • Hamilton -3.5

Money Line

  • Winnipeg 2.55
  • Hamilton 1.57

Over/Under 50

The Blue Bombers did have a huge outing when they beat the BC Lions 23-6 last week on the road so I’m surprised to see that they are underdogs in this game.  The Tiger Cats finally won their first game of the season last week, but it was at home against the expansion Ottawa RedBlacks, so expecting them to beat the Blue Bombers even with home field advantage is a bit of a stretch to me.  I’m taking the Blue Bombers to win this one outright in Hamilton.

Toronto Argonauts @ Montreal Alouettes

Montreal AlouettesSpread

  • Toronto +3.0 (1.95)
  • Montreal -3.0 (1.86)

Money Line

  • Toronto 2.40
  • Montreal 1.62

Over/Under 48

I like the Alouettes to win this game.  They are coming off a bye week, which should give them enough time to prepare for a weak Toronto team that got destroyed in Saskatchewan last week.  Toronto has yet to win on the road this season, with an 0-3 record in that regard.  The Alouettes haven’t done much better and I think this could be a close game, which is why I will be taking the money line on the Alouettes.  The smaller return is worth it to me in order to allow for the extra 3 points that may not be covered in the game.

Play: Montreal Alouettes 1.62

BC Lions @ Calgary Stampeders

Calgary StampedersSpread

  • BC +6.0
  • Calgary -6.0

Money Line

  • BC 2.75
  • Calgary 1.47

Over/Under 45.5

Calgary showed last week on the road against a 4-0 Edmonton team that they are still the cream of the crop in the CFL this season.  I expect another big win next week over a weaker BC Lions team.  I’m taking the Stampeders to cover the spread in this one.  From what I’ve seen so far it could be very difficult for the Lions to score on the tough Stampeders defense and if Calgary can combine this with some decent offense they should cover the 6 points easily enough.

Play: Calgary Stampeders +6.0 (1.91)

Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Ottawa REDBLACKS

Ottawa RedblacksSpread

  • Saskatchewan -4.5
  • Ottawa +4.5

Money Line

  • Saskatchewan 1.47
  • Ottawa 2.75

Over/Under 50.0

The Roughriders have only played 1 road game yet this season and it was a loss in Toronto.  The Argos are probably the worst team in the league this season, so I think the REDBLACKS have a good chance of beating the Roughriders at TD Place.  They are 1-0 at home so far this season and they will need to continue to have strong outings in front of their home fans in order to have a chance to make the post season.  I’m taking the REDBLACKS outright.  I see another tight game, but I think the fans will help Ottawa pull out another home win.

Play: Ottawa REDBLACKS 2.75
