CFL Week 11 Betting Picks 2018

I had another successful week going 3-1 with my spread picks in week 10.  That brings my season record with CFL spread picks to 17-8.  It’s been a great first half of the season and hopefully we can add some more profit this week.

I will be using the odds from SportsInteraction.com for my CFL picks throughout the season.  They are our top rated sportsbook for Canadians.  Check out our full SIA review here.

I’ve also added a simple 3 step guide explaining how to bet on the CFL, so check that page out if you want to get some action on these games this week.

Edmonton Eskimos @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats

  • Edmonton +3
  • Hamilton -3

I’ve been fading Edmonton for most of the year and it’s been paying dividends.  I still don’t believe Edmonton is as good as their 6-3 record indicates, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think they can beat the Ti-Cats in Hamilton this week.

Hamilton has done nothing to instill confidence of late.  Yes, they’re coming off a bye week, which means they could get some things figured out, but heading into the bye they had lost 4 of their last 5 games, with the only win being a blowout of the Alouettes in Manziel’s first game at QB.  Hamilton was supposed to be a better team than they’ve shown themselves to be, but I’m not convinced they can turn things around.

Edmonton is overrated, but I still like them as 3 point road dogs in this one.

Play: Eskimos +3

Toronto Argonauts @ Montreal Alouettes

  • Toronto -5.5
  • Montreal +5.5

Montreal was able to beat the 16.5 point spread in Edmonton last week, but they still lost by 16 points.  Johny Manziel was absent from practice today and I would be very surprised if Manziel is back in the lineup after dealing with a concussion for the past week and a half.  This Alouettes team is a much better team with a healthy Manziel in the lineup, and I don’t think they will be able to score many points this week.

Toronto got a big win at home against the Lions last week and I still believe the Argos are better than their 3-5 record indicates.  The Argos are 1-0 against East Division opposition and should have no trouble handling this Alouettes team, which will most likely be without Johny Manziel.

Add in the fact that the Alouettes have been absolutely awful at home, being outscored 178-62 in Montreal this week and I think the Argos are a great bet to cover this week.

Play: Argonauts -5.5

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Calgary Stampeders

  • Winnipeg +9
  • Calgary -9

The Stampeders had a rough week in Saskatchewan this past week and their offense has slowed down in their past 3 games.  That said, the Roughriders are a quality team when they play their best and they seem to have had Calgary’s number in the past couple of games.  I still think Calgary is without a doubt the best team in the CFL and when they play at home I believe they can blow out most teams in the CFL more often than not.

Winnipeg took a step backwards this past week, getting outplayed in all aspects of the football game by the Ottawa Redblacks.  It’s going to be difficult for Winnipeg to bounce back on the road in Calgary this week.

Play: Stampeders -9

Saskatchewan Roughriders @ BC Lions

  • Saskatchewan +3
  • BC -3

Saskatchewan played a great game last week to hand the Stampeders their first loss of the season.  Saskatchewan continues to prove that they have the ability to be a top team in the CFL.  The problem is they are very inconsistent and can make mistakes that cost them games.  They’ve been improving in this respect of late and they will know they need to get right back in the win column this week against the Lions.

BC is the weakest team in the West Division, but coming off a tough 1 point loss to Toronto last week they will be ready to defend their home field.  BC is 3-0 at home this season, but the games have still all been close.

This is a really tough game to call, but I think if Saskatchewan plays up to their potential they should be able to hand BC their first home loss of the season.  And even if the Roughriders don’t get the win they could still keep the game close and possibly still beat the spread.

Play: Roughriders +3
