Curling is an event where Team Canada has a great chance to bring home up to 3 gold medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Team Homan is a big favourite in the Women’s event, while Team Jacobs is the second favorite (next to Great Britain) in the Men’s event. Both the Men’s and Women’s curling events take place between the 11th and 22nd of February, while the mixed doubles event, where Canada is not the favourite, but considered a top contender with a duo of Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant, kicks off the Olympics taking place between the 4th and 10th of February.
The Canadian curling teams are widely celebrated here in Canada, so there will be a lot of television coverage of their tournaments and a lot of pressure on each team to bring home gold for Canada.
Below I’ve included the pre-tournament odds for both the Men’s and Women’s events. I’ve taken the odds from our top rated betting site, Sports Interaction.
You will also be able to bet on each individual game at Sports Interaction. Select ‘Curling’ on the sportsbook page to find all of the odds.
Men’s Curling Gold Medal Odds
Here are the odds for the Men’s Curling tournament at the 2026 Olympics from SportsInteraction.com:
The Canadian Men (Team Jacobs) followed up their win at The Brier last year by winning the Canadian Olympic Curling Trial to prove they were the best team in Canada last year and deserved to represent Canada at the upcoming Olympics. This will be Brad Jacobs second time taking a team to the Olympics. Team Jacobs won the gold medal at Sochi 2014. Team Canada’s Men have not won a gold since Jacobs won in 2014, so he may be the right man for the job to get Canada back to the top of Men’s curling on the world stage.
The biggest threats for Canada are Team Great Britain, who are actually the favourites over Team Canada. Team Switzerland and Team Sweden are the other contenders.
I like Brad Jacbos and his team to continue their form from The Brier and the Olympic Trials and bring another gold back for Canada.
Play: Team Canada +175
Women’s Curling Gold Medal Odds
Team Homan will return to the Olympics for the second time. In their first Olympic Games, 2018 Pyeongchang, Team Homan did not live up to expectations, failing to advance out of the group stage. A similar thing happened to Team Jones in the most recent 2022 Winter Olympics, with Jones finishing 5th in the round robin and failing to get a medal for Canada. It’s now been two Winter Olympics in a row where Team Canada, have failed to medal. Team Homan has found significant success internationally of late, winning the 2024 and 2025 World Curling Championships after qualifying for both with wins in the 2024 and 2025 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. It’s no surprise that Homan is a significant favourite heading into these Olympics.
Just like with the Men, the Canadian tournaments generally have stiffer competition than the International events. That said, a gold medal is by no means guarantee, with Team Switzerland and Team Sweden also considered legitimate contenders for the gold.
Team Homan has shown the ability to win big tournaments in the past, and this is the reason I think the Canadian women will find a way to win the gold in Milan Cortina.
Play: Team Canada -200
There is also a mixed doubles event this year. Team Canada is not the favourite with odds of +600 with Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant looking to bring home the gold for Canada.
