NHL Betting Picks March 20th

There is a big 11 game slate in the NHL tonight and without much else going on this week in the sports betting world I thought it was the perfect time to add some NHL picks to the site.

I will be using the odds from whichever one of our recommended betting sites has the best odds for the picks I like below.

Florida Panthers @ Ottawa Senators

The Panthers are in the hunt for the final wild card spot in the Easter Conference so this is a huge game for them to close the gap on the Devils.  The Panthers are playing some great hockey of late having won 10 of their past 13 games and they now sit just 3 points back of New Jersey with two games in hand.

The Panthers lost to the Senators a week ago in Florida and will be looking to avenge that loss in this important game.  Ottawa has been playing better of late as well winning 3 of their past 4 games and looking like they are playing free flowing hockey.  A big part of that though has been Erik Karlsson playing the best hockey of his year with 6 points in that span and really looking strong coming out of the trade deadline still a Senator.  Unfortunately though, Karlsson will not be in the lineup tonight due to losing his unborn son and this horrible news could weigh on the team as a whole.

I expect both the Barkov and Trochek lines to give the Senators a lot of trouble tonight and without Karlsson I don’t see the Senators being able to keep up offensively.

Play: Panthers 1.741

Colorado Avalanche @ Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks are a proud group and I expect them to play some good hockey to close out the year even though they are out of the playoff hunt.  Reuniting Toews, Kane and Saad as the top line also gives the Blackhawks one very strong line that should be able to do some damage tonight with the last change.

The Avs are in the playoff hunt, so this is a huge game, but I still believe the Blackhawks will be able to find some matchups that they can exploit against a fairly weak Avalanche back end.

As a home underdog I really like the Blackhawks to pull out a win.

Play: Blackhawks 2.05 @ SportsInteraction.com
