How To Bet On Wimbledon 2023 in Canada

Wimbledon is widely considered the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world and I would argue that it is the most sought after win among the four majors in tennis circles.  The 2023 edition of Wimbledon gets underway this week in London and the entire tournament will be shown on TSN here in Canada.

Looking at the odds, Novak Djokovic is the favourite to defend his title and win the Wimbledon Men’s singles tournament for the fifth event in a row. Carlos Alcaraz is the second favorite, followed by a significant lengthening of odds to Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner who are considered the next two contenders. From the Canadian contingent it’s Felix Auger Aliassime who has the shortest odds at 51-1, while Denis Shapovalov has odds of 124-1.

In the Women’s singles tournament Iga Swiatek is the favourite to follow up her French Open victory with a win at Wimbledon. As for Canadians, Leylah Annie Fernandez and Bianca Andreescu are considered longshots with odds of over 100-1 each.

Wimbledon will receive a lot of coverage here in Canada with TSN covering the entire tournament.  Add in the fact that Novak Djokovic is looking to continue to make history and the potential for any of the young Canadians to be in the hunt come the second week of the tournament, and Wimbledon should take center stage in the Canadian sporting world.  With all of this attention on Wimbledon here in Canada I decided to add this step by step guide to betting on the tournament.

Step 2. Make Your First Deposit

Next you’ll need to add some funds to your account.  Check out our banking options page for breakdowns of some of the deposit options available at SIA.

Some deposit options available to me when I deposit include Interac (recommended), Visa, MasterCard, iDebit, and paysafecard.

Step 3. Place Your Wimbledon Bets

Now that you have funds available it’s time to place your Wimbledon wagers.  You can wager on individual matches throughout the tournament or on the tournament winner outright.  Check out our tennis betting page for more information on the various individual game matches that you can make.

To bet on the individual matches click on ‘Tennis’ followed by ‘ATP’ -> ‘Mens Wimbledon’ or ‘WTA’ -> ‘Womens Wimbledon’ to bring up the odds for all upcoming matches in either the Mens or Womens tournament.

Here’s an example of how the Wimbledon odds will look using Denis Shapovalov’s first round match:

The outright winner odds will be available by scrolling past all of the match betting lines on either of the Wimbledon betting pages.
