Tampa Bay Lightning @ Ottawa Senators
The Sens absolutely destroyed the Red Wings in shot attempts and possession on Tuesday night, before finding a late goal and taking the win in the shootout. Yes, the Sens have lost 3 of their last 4, but they’re still playing good hockey and getting chances. Tonight they are in a must-win situation against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa just got Palat back, but now they’ve lost Victor Hedman, who I personally think is their most important player. That definitely helps the Senators chances in this game.
I’m sure that Hammond will be back in net for the Sens tonight after a strong game against the Red Wings and this team just seems to know how to win in front of a healthy Hammond. Yes, the Ranger game was bad, but Hammond was struggling with his back and if the Detroit game is any indication he’s now back healthy and ready to fulfil his destiny of leading this team to the playoffs.
The Sens will control play in this one and if the bounces go their way they should come out on top.
