Australia vs Peru

Peru has had a couple of tough 1-0 losses in their first two matches to already be eliminated from the tournament. That said, I fully expect Peru to look to get in the win column in this match even though they are playing purely for pride. Australia has actually done fairly well to earn a point so far in the tournament and a win in this match could be enough to get them to the next stage. That said, I think Peru is the much better side and I think they will be able to finally score some goals in this tournament. I like Peru to get the win by a decent sized margin in this match.

Denmark vs France

The Danes are lucky to have 4 points through two matches here at the World Cup. I don’t think this Danish team has the quality to go far in this tournament and I think this will be shown against a quality France side in this match.
France will want to win this group to avoid Croatia in the round of 16 and I think they should be the much more quality side in this match, en route to a clean 3-0 sweep of the group stage.

Iceland vs Croatia

Croatia has nothing to play for in this match. They basically have the top spot wrapped up in Group D because they currently have a +5 goal differential lead on Nigeria, which is the only team that could tie them at the top of the group. Croatia will likely rest some of their top players in advance of the knockout stages.
Iceland, needs a win to have any hope of qualifying for the knockout stages. I’m not convinced they will be able to win this game, but based on the odds Iceland is my play. I think the fact that they will be forced to go forward in this match makes it more likely for Iceland to win than for this match to end in a draw, and I don’t think there’s value in Croatia in a game that doesn’t matter for them.

Nigeria vs Argentina

I have not been at all impressed with Argentina in this match. They were stymied by Iceland and then outclassed by Croatia. They will probably win this match, but at odds of 1.55 there is no value in Argentina.
Nigeria just needs a draw to most likely qualify for the round of 16 and I think that line has the best odds value of the 3 options.
