CFL Week 13 Spread Betting Odds and Picks

Sports Betting Canadian Mascot FootballI wasn’t able to get my CFL picks up last week, due to a busy week moving into my new home.  But now we’re pretty much settled and I’m able to get back into the swing of things, so the CFL picks and contest are back!  I’m now 17-14 against the spread since I started making these posts in week 4.  That’s just slightly above average, but it’s a lot of fun trying to improve that record from week to week.

I’m again using SportsInteraction.com for my CFL bets this week, so the spreads below are from SIA.  Click here for our full Sports Interaction review.

BC Lions @ Calgary Stampeders

  • BC LionsBC +11.5
  • Calgary -11.5

The Lions lost at home to the Ottawa Redblacks last week, which brings the Lions record down to 4-6 on the season.  It’s not a great record, but I’m still surprised to see an 11.5 point spread in this game.  The Redblacks still aren’t getting the respect they deserve this year, and I’m not suprised by that outcome.  The Stamps lost in Edmonton last week and I don’t think they are as good as their 8-3 record on the season.  They’re only +63 in point differential this season in a weak division.  I like the Lions to at least keep this game close.

Play: Lions +11.5

Edmonton Eskimos @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats

  • Hamilton Tiger CatsEdmonton +6.5
  • Hamilton -6.5

Hamilton is back on another winning streak after beating the Argos 35-27 last weekend on the road.  Hamilton now has back to back wins against the Argos, which is very impressive because these are two of the best teams in the league in my opinion.  I like Hamilton to keep it rolling at home this week against another quality team in the Edmonton Eskimos.

Play: Tiger-Cats -6.5

Ottawa Redblacks @ Saskatchewan Roughriders

  • Ottawa RedblacksOttawa +2
  • Saskatchewan -2

The Redblacks just keep getting wins and not a lot of respect.  They just beat the BC Lions on the road, but they are still going into Saskatchewan as 2 point dogs.  They destroyed Saskatchewan at home 35-13 three weeks ago and I expect more of the same, regardless of where the game is being played.  The Roughriders are now 1-10 on the season, but they continue to be favourites in a lot of these games, which I find very surprising.

Play: REDBLACKS +2

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Montreal Alouettes

  • Winnipeg Blue BombersWinnipeg +10
  • Montreal -10

Montreal is coming off a bye week, so I do expect them to use that extra time to have a good game plan in place against Winnipeg this week, but I just don’t like taking the Alouettes by such a big spread.  Montreal has scored the fewest points in the CFL this year and in order to cover 10 point spreads you need to be able to put up points.  I think Montreal will win this game, but I think the spread should be around 6 or 7.

Play: Blue Bombers +10
