The Divisional Finals are complete and the 2025 Grey Cup is will take place this Sunday, November 16th at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg. The Montreal Alouettes and Saskatchewan Roughriders each won tight games in their respective Division Finals to advance to this years Grey Cup.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders are back in the Grey Cup for the first time since winning the 101st Grey Cup back in 2013. The Roughriders held on to the top spot in the West Division (and the league) this season with a 12-6 record. Saskatchewan started the season 10-2, but stumbled to the finish line with a 2-4 record in their final 6 regular season games. The Roughriders were able to once again find some quality football in the West Division finals to defeat the BC Lions 24-21 at home.
The Montreal Alouettes finished second in the East with a 10-8 record, including going 5-1 in the final six weeks to lock down their playoff position. The Alouettes defeated the Blue Bombers 42-33 in the Division semi-finals and then went on the road to defeat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 19-16 this past weekend in the East Division finals.
