We’re bringing back the Sports Betting Canadian NHL Playoffs Bracket Contest for 2026. This will be the first SBC NHL Bracket Contest since 2018. This year we will be giving away $625 in prizes and the contest is free to enter for Canadian residents. All of the details can be found below.
Our NHL Playoff Bracket Contest is very simple. You pick which team will win each series throughout the 2026 NHL Playoffs and accumulate points for correct predictions.
Prizes
There is $625 available to be won in this contest. The prizes are paid out in Visa prepaid cards. The top 10 places will be paid.
Here’s the breakdown:
- 1st place – $200
- 2nd & 3rd place – $100
- 4th & 5th place – $50
- 6th-10th – $25
I’m not sure how many entries to expect, so there could be a great chance to win a prize in this contest.
Point Structure
Here is how the points will be awarded:
- 1st round = 5 points
- 2nd round = 7 points
- Conference Finals = 10 points
- Stanley Cup Finals = 15 points
- Bonus Points = 1 bonus point for every upset pick (lower seed)
*The bonus point for upset picks should help us avoid ties.
**If there is a tie after the correct score tie-breaker the prize will be split evenly among the tied entries.

- One entry per person, unless you qualify for the bonus entry above.
- Winners will be contacted via the email provided at Office Pool Junkie and must respond within 7 days or the prize will be forfeited.
- As required by Canadian law, winners must correctly answer a skill-testing question to claim their prize.
- Prizes are awarded as Visa prepaid cards and are non-transferable.
- SportsBettingCanadian.ca reserves the right to disqualify any entry suspected of fraud.
