Wimbledon is widely considered the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world and I would argue that it is the most sought after win among the four majors in tennis circles. The 2025 edition of Wimbledon gets underway this week in London and the entire tournament will be shown on TSN here in Canada.
Looking at the odds, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are the favourites to win the Wimbledon Men’s singles tournament. Alcaraz is the two-time defending champion having defeated Novak Djokovic in the finals in both 2023 and 2024. From the Canadian contingent it’s Felix Auger Aliassime who has the shortest odds at 150-1, while Gabriel Diallo has odds of 200-1, and Denis Shapovalov has odds of 250-1.
In the Women’s singles tournament Aryna Sabalenka is the favourite to win the tournament, while Rybakina, Swiatek, and Gauff are the other top contenders. As for Canadians, Leylah Annie Fernandez is considered a longshot with odds of 200-1.
