2024 Pegasus World Cup Betting Odds + How To Bet Guide for Canadians

By Horse Racing

The 2024 Pegasus World Cup (official website) takes place this Saturday, January 27th at Gulfstream Park in Florida. This years prize pool has remained at $3 million with no entry fee. The Pegasus World Cup is no longer the richest horse race in the world like it was in 2017 & 2018, but it’s still a prestigious race with a large purse that will entice the top horses in the world to participate.

National Treasure and First Mission are the two top contenders heading into this years race according to the morning line odds.

This is a massive race that brings eyes back to horse racing a few months after the Breeders’ Cup.  I know a lot of people are excited to get back to betting on horses this season.  Below I’ve outlined the early odds for the race and also provided a quick 3 step guide for Canadians to get your Pegasus World Cup bets in this year.

2024 Pegasus World Cup Betting Odds

Here are the morning line odds for the race (and post positions):

  1. Nimitz Class 20-1
  2. O’Connor 8-1
  3. Dynamic One 15-1
  4. Hoist The Gold 12-1
  5. Trademark 15-1
  6. Senor Buscador 20-1
  7. National Treasure 9-5
  8. First Mission 7-2
  9. Grand Aspen 8-1
  10. Il Miracolo 20-1
  11. Crupi 20-1
  12. Skippylongstocking 8-1

As you can see National Treasure is the favourite, while First Mission is the other top contender. After these two favourites there are three horses at odds of 8-1.

I don’t really like either National Treasure or First Mission to win this race. I think you can find value in several of the other horses in the field, including Nimitz Class who is the longest shot in the field.
