Toronto FC is back in the MLS Finals and they are set to take on a familiar opponent. In last years finals TFC also met the Seattle Sounders and after a scoreless draw TFC wasn’t able to get the job done losing 5-4 on penalties. You can bet that Toronto FC is excited to have worked their way to this shot at redemption and this year Toronto comes in as an even bigger favourite than last year, having won the Supporters Shield for the top record in the MLS this past season and arguably being the most dominant team in MLS history.
The action takes place at BMO Field in Toronto this Saturday, December 9th at 4pm EST. I’ll outline the odds below, give my pick and also provide a simple 3 step guide to bet on this match if you’re new to betting online.

As you can see Toronto FC are big favourites to get the win in regulation, with a draw similar to last years game being looked at as a possibility, while the Sounders winning in regulation would be a big surprise.
My Pick
The fact that this game is being played in Toronto is a huge advantage for TFC. Toronto went a ridiculous 13-1-3 at home this past season, while Seattle went a poor 3-8-6 on the road. Home field advantage is massive in Major League Soccer (Toronto FC was the only team in the league with a winning road record this season).
I expect Seattle to look to win a nil-nil draw just like last year, but if Toronto has all of their weapons at their disposal (Altidore is expected to play) it will be very difficult for Seattle to keep this offense off the board. Toronto FC scored 74 goals this past season, which was 14 more than the second most in the league.
Seattle has not allowed a goal against in their four MLS playoff games and they are playing some very solid soccer, cruising through both rounds, while Toronto has struggled somewhat only advancing on away goals against New York and then needing a late goal from Altidore at home to advance past Columbus most recently.
Toronto has not played it’s best soccer in these playoffs, but I expect the top end talent that is on this team to step up at home and get the revenge from last seasons loss on penalties.
