Sports Betting Canadian 2016 NHL Bracket Contest

There’s no Canadian teams in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year, but to me that means there’s even more need for the second annual NHL bracket contest hosted by SportsBettingCanadian.ca. There’s nothing like having some skin in the game as a consolation to your team in the playoffs.

The NHL playoffs bracket works in the exact same way as a March Madness bracket, which I’m sure everyone has entered at some point in your lives. You simply pick which team will win each series throughout the NHL playoffs and the point total for each correct pick increase each round.

Prizes

The most important part of the contest.

The site has grown since last year, so I’m increasing the prize pool to $500 (from $300 in 2015). If we outdo last years participation I will be upping the prize pool once again next season, so be sure to share this page and let your friends know about the bracket.

1st place – $150 voucher for use betting on sports online.
2nd & 3rd place – $50 sports betting vouchers.
4th-13th place – $25 sports betting vouchers.

This is going to be a great value contest, regardless of how many entries we get.

Point Structure

Here’s how the points will be awarded:

1st round = 5 points
2nd round = 7 points
Conference Finals = 10 points
Stanley Cup Champions = 15 points

**If there is a tie after the correct score tie-breaker, the prize will be split evenly among the tied entrants.
