It’s a strange week in the NHL in that there are only 5 games on a Tuesday. A big reason for this is that all the American teams do not have home games on American Thanksgiving, which has pushed a lot of games to Monday and Wednesday this week. That said, 5 games is still enough to find some value for our NHL picks, so let’s get to it.

Ottawa Senators @ Montreal Canadiens
The Senators haven’t scored more than 2 goals in a game since beating the Canucks 3-0 back on the 25th of October. That was their 6th game of the season. They’ve since gone 12 games in a row scoring either 1 or 2 goals and somehow have won half of those games. When the offense is struggling this mightily it’s definitely not a good time to face the leagues best goaltender in Carey Price, and on the road no less.
I don’t see the Senators offense jump starting in this spot, so I see the Habs adding another win to their already remarkable record.

Philadelphia Flyers @ Florida Panthers
The Panthers are finally finding their stride having won two straight games, including a big win on the road over the Rangers in their last outing. Florida is 4-1-0 in their last 5 games, with a slip up in Toronto as the only blemish. The Panthers are returning home after a 4 game road trip, so this could be a let down spot, but I expect this team to come ready to play.
The Flyers rely too heavily on one line to be a significant threat on the road, when the opposition is able to easily match their best defensive players against Giroux and company. I expect the Panthers to continue their strong play and get a win back at home tonight.
