Free NHL Picks October 30th

Sport Betting Canadian Hockey MascotThe Oilers lost in our one play last night.  I kind of regretted making that pick after I locked in the play just because of how good the Preds have been this season.  They showed once again how they can control a game even without the big names that many other teams employ.  The Predators really are making a case for themselves to be a legitimate playoff threat this season.

NHL Season Record: 24-22 for +7.48 units.

Boston Bruins @ Buffalo Sabres

Boston Bruins LogoThe Bruins can’t take this game lightly because they are off to a poor 5-6-0 start by their standards.  They’re without Chara still, but the Bruins are such a better team than the Sabres I think this is a great opportunity for a bounce back game.  I’m taking the puck line in this one and here is hoping the bag skate that Ted Nolan made the Sabres go through yesterday does nothing, but tire out a poor team.

Play: Bruins -1.5 2.15 @ 5Dimes.eu

Philadelphia Flyers @ Tampa Bay Lightning

Flyers BettingThe Flyers seem to have gotten their act together, stringing together three straight wins over strong opponents (Pens, Wings & Kings) heading into this one.  The Flyers also got off to a very bad start last year, but they seem to be turning things around a little earlier this season.  I like them as fairly big dogs in Tampa tonight.

Play: Flyers 2.48 @ 5Dimes.eu

San Jose Sharks @ Minnesota Wild

Minnesota Wild LogoYou will likely see me backing the Wild a lot at this point in the season.  I still don’t think the bookies are giving them the respect they deserve.  I also don’t think the Sharks have played as well as their recent record may indicate and this being the third game of their current road trip, fatigue may be starting to set in.

Play: Wild 1.83 @ SportsInteraction.com

New York Islanders @ Colorado Avalanche

New York Islanders LogoThe Avs still haven’t figured it out.  Sure, they lost their last two games after regulation and destroyed the Canucks in the game before that, but that doesn’t change the fact this team has won just 2 of their first 10 games.  The Islanders are a very strong team this year and I’m going to fade the Avs when they’re favourite against legitimate opposition until they prove otherwise.

Play: Islanders 2.16 @ PinnacleSports.com
