The action was intense, thrilling a profitable for us last night. The only thing that really went wrong was the Sens losing to the Preds after a few gaffs by Jared Cowen. The Bruins also lost by a goal to the Red Wings, but we won our other three plays for a profitable night.

There is only one game in the NHL tonight, which is a bit of a let down after such an action packed Thursday night, but I’m still making a play tonight to keep my momentum.
New York Islanders @ Carolina Hurricanes
I’m expecting the Islanders to work over the Hurricanes who are currently without both Jordan Staal and Jeff Skinner. This Carolina team just doesn’t have the depth up front to compete this year and they will be really relying on Eric Staal and Alex Semin to provide offense this season. I also think there’s question marks at the back end.
When the Islanders have a healthy Tavares in the lineup they are a different team. Many experts don’t know what to expect from this Islanders team, but I think they will improve upon last year, but not necessarily be a guaranteed playoff team. I’m not convinced they will get the value from Grabovski and Kulemin that they expect, but that said they went out and actively tried to improve their team this summer and that could pay huge dividends.

I’m not in the habit of making puckline plays very often, but this one I think provides the right amount of value.
