My Pick
I like Chile to find a way to win this game. Like I said before this is close to a must win game for Chile and they will understand how important the three points are in this game. I expect Australia to play a very defensive game, but Chile has the talent and offensive ability to break through Australia’s defenses and score enough goals to win the game.
Chile has scored many goals in their qualifying matches and this will be a big game for Alexis Sanchez who is 50/1 to win the golden boot if he is going to have a shot at it. Australia has been known to give up a lot of goals to quality teams (6-0 loss to France in November, 4-3 loss to Ecuador in March) and I think Chile falls into that category. Look for Chile to control this game from the outset and put the ball in the back of the Australia net a few times to come away with an easy win and 3 points.
