CFL Week 4 Betting Picks 2017

It was another profitable week for me in Week 3 with my spread picks going 3-1.  The only loss was taking the Bombers +3.5 at home, but the Stamps went in there and dominated the game.  The Lions, Argos and Roughriders all came through for me though, which brings my season record to 8-4 against the spread.

I’ll be using SportsInteraction.com for my CFL picks all season long.  They’re our top rated sportsbook and they are an in-game sponsor of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this season, which shows their commitment to the CFL.  You can check out our full SIA review here.

Toronto Argonauts @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers

  • Toronto +3
  • Winnipeg -3

The Bombers had a rough showing last week at home against the Stamps, but I think that has more to do with the Stamps still being by far the best team in the CFL, rather than the Bombers having a weak team this year.

The Argos got a win on the road last week, but they really got lucky that Ottawa missed a late field goal in that game, which was a back and forth battle.  I still think the Argos are one of the worst teams in the CFL this year and that should show through when the Bombers beat them handily this week in Winnipeg.

Play: Blue Bombers -3

Calgary Stampeders @ Montreal Alouettes

  • Calgary -5.5
  • Montreal +5.5

The Stamps showed that they are still the top team in the CFL with a dominant performance in Winnipeg last week.  The Bombers are a far better team than the Alouettes, so I don’t expect Montreal to be able to keep pace with the Stamps offense in this game.  The Stamps should be able to run away early and win this game handily covering the 5.5 point spread without much difficulty.

Play: Stampeders -5.5

Ottawa Redblacks @ Edmonton Eskimos

  • Ottawa +6
  • Edmonton -6

The Redblacks had a rough go last week against the Argos, but I still think this Ottawa team is an above average team in this league.  They only lost by 4 points to the Stamps over two games and I don’t think they are the type of team that can be run over.

The Eskies have had a great start to the season and they are coming off a bye week, which makes them even more dangerous, but they didn’t win either of their two games by more than 4 points and I don’t expect them to start winning big against a solid team like Ottawa.

Play: Redblacks +6

BC Lions @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats

  • BC -3.5
  • Hamilton +3.5

Hamilton is 0-2 to start the year and they’ve given up nearly double as many points as they’ve scored.  All of that, while playing two of the worst teams in the league in the Argos and Roughriders.  This could be a very long year for the Ti-Cats and I do not expect them to get in the win column this week, or even keep the game close for that matter, against this talented BC team that will be looking to build on two solid road wins in the East Division over the past two weeks.

Play: Lions -3.5
