CFL Week 20 Spread Betting Odds and Free Picks

Sports Betting Canadian Mascot FootballIt looks like I’m ending the CFL season on a bit of a sour note.  Last week I went 0-4 for the first time this season, which really hurt my season record and brought it down to 27-31.  I’m looking to go 4-0 this week to help me pull back even at least in terms of my record.

This week I’m once again using SportsInteraction.com for my CFL picks.   You can check out our Sports Interaction review here.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Toronto Argonauts

  • Winnipeg Blue BombersWinnipeg +7
  • Toronto -7

The Blue Bombers have been eliminated from the playoffs, so they may be checked out for this game, especially coming off a bye week that probably made them feel like the season was over.  That said, with the Argos securely in that 3rd spot in the East I expect them to rest some starters and to be primarily looking past this game to the playoffs the following week where they will play either Ottawa or Hamilton.  For this reason, I think the Bombers have a chance to keep this game close.  It’s definitely Winnipeg’s last game and the players may be ready to leave it all on the field and leave a good memory in the minds of their managers for future contracts.

Play: Blue Bombers +7

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Ottawa Redblacks

  • Ottawa RedblacksHamilton +3
  • Ottawa -3

This is the one game that really matters this week as the Tiger-Cats and Redblacks are battling for the top position in the East and a bye week through the first round of the playoffs.  The Redblacks beat the Ti-Cats 12-6 in a defensive battle last week in Hamilton.  I expect the Redblacks to be able to continue shutting down the Hamilton offense that hasn’t been the same since losing Collaros earlier in the season.  The Redblacks will want to avoid a semi-final game at all costs, so I expect them to bring their A-game and take this down.

Play: Redblacks -3

Calgary Stampeders @ BC Lions

  • Calgary StampedersCalgary -1
  • BC +1

The Stampeders and Lions are already booked to play each other in the West Division semi-finals in the first round of the playoffs, so this game could be one where they each look to send a message.  The Lions have stepped up their play the last two weeks to win a couple games that helped them clinch their playoff spot over the Montreal Alouettes.  I’m expecting a bit of a playoff clinch hangover from the Lions, while the Stamps should be looking to send a message on the road to set the tone for the playoff game.

I expect the Stampeders to take this one down even though the game is pretty meaningless.  Both teams will try to avoid injuries, while also punishing their opponents.

Play: Stampeders -1

Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Montreal Alouettes

  • Saskatchewan Roughriders BettingSaskatchewan +9
  • Montreal -9

Montreal was eliminated from the playoffs last week with their loss in Edmonton, coupled with the Lions win in Toronto.  I’m expecting a let down game out of Montreal at home.  The Roughriders on the other hand have likely been checked out all season, but I still think they are a quality enough team to keep this game close.  Over the 17 games they’ve played so far this season they’ve only lost by an average of 8 points, which shows they aren’t quite as bad as their 2-15 record indicates.  I like the Roughriders to at least keep this meaningless game close.

Play: Roughriders +9

Good luck in this last week of the CFL regular season, and check back next week for some playoff picks.
