2017 Breeders’ Stakes Morning Line Odds and How To Bet Guide

The Canadian Triple Crown is headed back to Woodbine Racetrack this Sunday for the 2017 Breeders’ Stakes.  There is no potential Triple Crown winner heading into the race this year, but we will still be treated to a fine field of 10 solid horses and it should make for a great viewing and betting experience Sunday evening.

This year the favourite heading into Sunday is Channel Maker, who finished fourth at the Queen’s Plate a month and a half ago.  His biggest competitors come in the form of Final Copy and Conquest Lemonraid who battled it out at Woodbine just last month in the Toronto Cup with Final Copy pulling out the win.  In this article I’ve broken down the morning line odds for each horse, given my personal prediction and also provided you with a simple 3 step guide to betting on the race if you’re new to gambling online.

2017 Breeders’ Stakes Morning Line Odds

Below are the betting odds for the Breeders’ Stakes.  These are the morning line odds, which are merely an estimate of what the final odds will be for each horse.  The actual odds are determined by the amount of money that is wagered on each horse on race day.  Check out our parimutuel betting page for more information on how the odds work for horse racing.

  1. Conquest Lemonraid 4/1
  2. Channel Maker 5/2
  3. King and His Court 10/1
  4. Lookin At Bravo 20/1
  5. Major Eclipse 15/1
  6. Woodbridge 15/1
  7. Glencairn 20/1
  8. Seeking Albert 10/1
  9. Final Copy 3/1
  10. Cool Catomine 6/1

As you can see Channel Maker, who finished fourth at this year’s Queen’s Plate race is the favourite, while Final Copy, Conquest Lemonraid and Cool Catomine are the other legitimate contenders according to the oddsmakers.

I personally like Final Copy.  It’s only the second race of his career, but he got the win at last months Toronto Cup beating out both Conquest Lemonraid and King and His Court in a fast race, so I like his potential and expect him to continue to get those wins.
